Privacy and Security
PasteDL does not ask you to log in or share personal information, and it does not keep a personal download library or history. Limited technical logs may be kept for security and operations. Cloudflare bot protection keeps the service available without forcing anyone to sign up.
Technology Stack
PasteDL is built with Next.js 16 and React 19, using server-rendered pages for fast loading on mobile connections. The interface uses TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and Radix UI for an accessible, mobile-first design, with next-intl handling localisation across 21 languages. Media requests go through a GraphQL API backend, and Cloudflare provides bot protection and CDN delivery.
Why We Built It
Saving a public Reel or TikTok should not mean installing an app, handing over your password, or getting a watermark stamped on the file. Many downloaders cover only one platform or push you towards an app or browser extension. PasteDL was built to be a simple, honest alternative: paste a link, get the file, and be upfront that only public content is supported.
Limitations
Only public content is supported. Private accounts cannot be accessed.
Quality, audio and format depend on what is available for each post.
