Hi, I'm Alex, working on All Video Grab. One measurement detail from building a download utility might be useful to other makers: clicking Download does not tell us whether the file was delivered.

We now track the click separately from a completed, non-empty server response and connect them with an attempt ID. We also exclude our own QA sessions. Even a completed response cannot prove that someone kept the file on their device, so we keep that limitation visible in our reports.

Our next experiment is comparing return visits for everyone who tried the tool with return visits after a successful delivery. The cohorts are still too young for a retention claim.

For other makers of occasional-use utilities: do you find next-day return useful, or do you mainly evaluate a seven-day window? I'm interested in how you distinguish low usage frequency from a disappointing first experience.
